The more adventurous have the opportunity to travel further a field Youth Hostelling and camping, which can be combined with other cycling events e.g. Exmoor Audax.
The club run leaves 'the Grove' the corner of Memorial Park where Kenilworth Road meets Leamington Road at 9:00am on Sunday mornings. The group is normally only 3-6 riders. The pace is in winter averages 15 mph, and the distance averages 50 miles, during the summer the pace, and distance increase.

Club History
Coventry Cycling Club, which is based in central England, was formed by a small group of local enthusiasts in June 1935. While the club has racing roots, it encourages, runs and takes part in many cycling activities.
The club membership book over the years has contained the names of many successful cyclists, including Eileen Sheridan, a superb long distance rider, who held the Ladies' 'End to End' record for cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats, a distance of approximately 1000 miles. Vic Clarke, an extremely quick hill climb rider, who won the National Hill Climb record for two years running has also been a member of the Club.
Coventry Cycling Club last hosted the National Hill Climb in 1998. The event went off smoothly despite a storm and torrential rain the day before, which caused the event organiser to abandon plans for a canopy to host the prize giving in at the top of the hill. The event on Dovers Hill was won by Jim Henderson of Oxford University CC.
